President Donald Trump has denounced the violent murder of a motel manager of Indian descent hotel manager in Texas last week.

"Enough of being soft on these Illegal Immigrant Criminals is ENDED under my administration," the President declared in a post on his Truth Social account.

Details of the Tragic Incident

The victim, fifty years old, was allegedly attacked with a knife by his co-worker Yordanis Cobos-Martinez in front of his family after a dispute over a malfunctioning washing machine.

The suspect, who is now in police custody, has been accused of murder.

The President’s Response

Trump vowed that Mr Cobos-Martinez "faces prosecution to the fullest extent of the law" and will be "indicted for murder in the first degree."

He also criticized the federal government, saying that the accused had been earlier detained for multiple crimes, including accused child endangerment, but was "freed back into society because Cuba declined to accept his return."

Immigration Status of the Suspect

According to federal sources, the suspect is an undocumented immigrant with a final order of deportation from the US.

He was allegedly in detention at a facility in Dallas but was released on an order of supervision in January after authorities "refused to accept him due to his criminal history."

Victim’s Background

The victim, who hailed from the Indian state of South India, worked at the Downtown Suites Motel in Dallas.

He attended educational institutions in Bengaluru, India, before relocating to the US in 2018. His child recently graduated high school and is preparing to begin university.

Timeline of the Attack

The attack occurred on September 10. Police received a "stabbing call" and confirmed through preliminary findings that the suspect had attacked the victim multiple times with an edged weapon.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a hold on Mr Cobos-Martinez at the Dallas County Jail, where he remains in detention.

Follow-up

The victim’s funeral were conducted on September 13 in Flower Mound, attended by family and friends.

A donation drive launched to aid his loved ones has raised over $321,000 so far.
